The nation’s corn crop is 6 percent harvested versus the five-year average of 4 percent. 86 percent of the corn has dented compared to the five-year average of 71 percent. 33 percent of the nation’s corn is mature compared to the five-year average of 19 percent. The corn crop is rated 69 percent good to excellent, a drop of 1 percentage point from last week.
The nation’s soybean crop is rated 64 percent good to excellent and that’s the same as last week. 19 percent of the nation’s soybeans are dropping leaves compared to the five-year average of 15 percent.
Minnesota’s corn crop continues to be rated very high at 91 percent good to excellent.
12 percent of Minnesota’s corn crop is mature compared to the five-year average of 8 percent. The Illinois corn crop is at 57 percent mature and 7 percent harvested. Indiana is at 46 percent mature and 5 percent harvested. Iowa’s corn crop is 34 percent mature and 1 percent harvested.
46 percent of Minnesota’s soybean crop is turning yellow; the five-year average is 47 percent. 12 percent of Minnesota’s soybeans are dropping leaves and that’s on pace with the five-year average. Minnesota’s soybeans are two percent mature and rated 89 percent good to excellent, the same as last week.
17 percent of Illinois soybeans are dropping leaves, 39 percent of Indiana’s soybeans are dropping leaves and 9 percent of Iowa beans are dropping leaves.
Potatoes in Minnesota are 31 percent harvested, sweet corn is 73 percent harvested, dry beans were 14 percent harvested and sugarbeets were at 7 percent harvested.
